We are currently fighting the:

  1. Relocation of the Herts & Essex and the Bishops Stortford High Schools to the green belt land on Whittington Way
  2. NATS proposals to change the way the planes over-fly our area
Relocation of the High Schools
Following a successful campaign which resulted in a petition with over 3000 signatures and over 400 letters of objection against the proposed relocation of the schools, the applications were withdrawn in December 2008. We have reason to believe that plans will be re-submitted for consideration at the end of 2009.
 
NATS proposals
NATS consultation on noise due to finish on 2 October 2009.  OTTRA are in the process of drafting their response.
